News...

Hey everyone...Haven't updated in a little while, but things have been going well here. Chris and I have both received all of our belongings in the last two weeks, so we've been very busy getting things put away.

The last couple of weekends, we've visited two different beaches. Last weekend was one on the base and looked really cloudy. But this week, we went to one up north a little more and it was gorgeous.... it actually had sand on the beach instead of just coral and the water was the clearest green I've ever seen. Unfortunately we forgot our camera, so we don't have any pics, but I guess that's just an excuse to go back another time!! And hopefully we'll remember sunscreen this time too cause we got a little fried, even after borrowing "48" sunscreen from a friend... the sun is so hot here!!

But the biggest news is that Chris and I got a puppy!!! She's an adorable Oki mix (which basically is a mut mix of the dogs here on the island.

She has such a sweet personality... and definitely loves to cuddle with us! Chris and I kind of feel like parents right now though because we're cleaning up lots of messes on our floor and not getting much sleep cause she cries all night! But we love her already!! She belonged to a litter of puppies that was found abandoned on base and the police send them to the base's kennels where they put lots of dogs up for adoption. When we saw her we knew we had to get her!!

Still thinking about names, but we're thinking of naming her "Koshi" (it's Japanese...) Let us know if you have suggestions for names or any tips on training a dog!!
